userEconomic exposure, not direct ownership: issuer, U.S.-person restrictions, uiMultiplier corporate actions, and oracle behavior, source-verified.
Robinhood Chain Stock Tokens are 18-decimal ERC-8056 ERC-20 tokens issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Ltd. They provide economic exposure to the price of an underlying security. Source-verified against docs.robinhood.com/chain/stock-tokens on 2026-07-08.
Restrictions
- U.S. persons are barred from Stock Tokens; further jurisdiction restrictions apply per Robinhood's terms.
- The primary market (mint/redeem) is limited to Authorised Participants; everyone else trades on secondary venues.
- HISS vault policies mark every tokenized equity
availableToUSPersons: falseand gate deposits on jurisdiction acknowledgments.
Corporate actions: the uiMultiplier
Splits and similar actions apply through the ERC-8056 uiMultiplier(), with scheduled updates exposed via newUIMultiplier()/effectiveAt(). Chainlink's total-return feeds already include the multiplier — HISS never applies it twice, and vault rebalances block while a feed reports oraclePaused() during an action.
Oracle behavior
- Per-asset Chainlink AggregatorV3 feeds, total-return methodology.
- 24/5 updates; off-hours the feed may hold the last published price.
- Staleness limits in HISS are conservative (25h) until per-feed heartbeats are published.
Robinhood Chain is permissionless; Robinhood does not control third-party builders like HISS, does not custody user assets on chain, and third-party integration implies no endorsement.
